Vodafone Awards

Elmor prove that the unsigned still rule

The prestigious Vodafone award ceremony put live music up on a pedestal on Sunday evening at the Carling Academy in Brixton, London.

Surrey based band Elmor picked up yet another award as best Unsigned Live act runner up at the glitzy event.

Elmor were overwhelmed: “It’s really refreshing to see that such a prestigious award ceremony has given unsigned bands like us the recognition we finally deserve. We are thrilled at winning this; I can’t describe how amazing it is - we have had such a fantastic year.”

Earlier this year Elmor became winners of the Live and Unsigned competition, making the National finals after knocking out over 10,000 bands/acts that entered.

Awards were also taken away by Kate Nash (best female), The Ting Tings (Best live Breakthrough act), Kiddo 360 (best live and unsigned), Mark Ronson (best male), Primal Scream (outstanding contribution to Live Music Awards & Best Live Act), Kings of Leon (best international act) and Spice Girls (best live return).
