Queen will rock you again

Queen are set to release their first new studio album in 13 years, called The Cosmos Rocks, it has been revealed.

They will follow the release with a worldwide tour, which will feature vocals provided by Paul Rodgers, the former lead singer of Free and Bad Company.

The Cosmos Rocks is due to be released on September 1. Songs on the album have been jointly written and produced by Brian May, Roger Taylor and Paul Rodgers.

The record will include Say It's Not True, which Queen released last year to raise money for World Aids Day.

Meanwhile, the "Rock the Cosmos 2008 Tour" is to include 28 performances from the band, taking place in Europe and the UK, with later gigs in South America.

Nottingham, Glasgow, Cardiff and Liverpool are among the cities set to play host to the rockers.

Tickets to the tour go on sale on April 2 and will be available to buy from Queen's official website.

The band's most recent studio album, Made in Heaven, came out in 1995. It included Freddie Mercury's last recordings and sold 20 million copies.

Queen's "best of" compilation, Greatest Hits 1, is the UK's biggest-selling album of all time.
