The Music Directory provides funding for touring and recording costs and community music projects. The money is distributed in the form of a grant, not a loan. This means that you don’t have to pay it back but it does mean you have to use it responsibly. The funding pot is created using income from businesses that support The Music Directory through sponsorship, advertising and sponsored listings. We want to help members of The Music Directory who aren’t able to source any alternative funding to develop their talent and promote their work. We are also particularly interested in music projects that benefit people in the community or help develop music in education. Funding will be available at various stages throughout the year and details will be published as new ‘rounds’ begin. Members will be required to complete an application form for funding. If you would like to apply for funding, please contact us using the contact form on this website giving an outline of what you are applying for (200 words maximum). You will then receive an application form to complete and return before the funding window deadline. Please note that during this first funding window, we will be focussing
on community music projects. That doesn’t mean you wont receive
funding for something else but it means we may give preference to
projects that benefit your local community or schools. |
