THePETEBOX smashes Rescue Rooms

Nottingham's award-winning beatboxing sensation THePETEBOX headlined at Rescue Rooms last night before embarking on a nationwide tour of universities with some new material.

His show was a step up from the last time we saw him at the Freeq launch party back in May 2008. He has included more complex songs with more singing and beatboxing at the same time to really showcase his talents.

THePETEBOX begins the set by talking the crowd and the handful of non-believers through the different drum sounds; breaking it down to demonstrate it's all him and all live and all from his mouth. He then cranks up the tempo with some drum and bass and house tracks before employing the loop pedal to layer sounds on top of sounds in a unique full band performance - all from his mouth!
