This month's recording is Dawn, a minor-key composition for Bouzouki and Guitar in 9/8 time signature. I chose it because of the beautiful article that appeared in www.oddtimeobsessed.com, an avant-garte internet radio featuring Odd-time Signature music.

Viktor Mastoridis is born in Thessalonica, Greece, in a mixed Greek/Macedonian family.
The family moved in his early age to Skopje, Macedonia, where he played guitar in many Rock and Hip-Hop bands, most notable being Super Nova.
His affinity for Folk, World and Children's music (as well as Bouzouki and Tamboura) developed after living his native countries and going to the Netherlands in 1991.
His creations represent a unique World Fusion of the traditional Balkan and modern Western popular music.
He now lives in London, UK, where he works as a music teacher in a school in North London. He... [More]
