Getting ready for the rebirth

6th Sep 2008, 1:49am
Well, it is 2:43am on Sat 6th Sept as I write this. Later tonight we will see what a mad rehearsal schedule has done for us. Lewis joined in July and we have been working hard to get ourselves used to him and for him to relax with us. The last three rehearsals have seen everything suddenly click into place, seen Lewis gain the confidence to put more of himself into the songs rather than just try to do what Chris did and seen us leaping madly around the room like a bunch of nutters. Music is supposed to be fun and uplifting and its had us floating madly recently.

Tonight is Lewis' debut gig at the Wildside night at Junktion7 in Nottingham and it is our return to a venue where we know our friends and fans will go. Love and Bullets will be starting the night in one of two farewell gigs and Voodo Six are headlining before the Wildside Club Night begins at approximately 11:15. CAN'T WAIT.

About
Skeleton Crew's style of music can best be described as the fusion of classic British rock in bands such as Whitesnake, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Thunder with the unmistakable AOR/glam sounds of Guns N Roses, Motley Crue and Bon Jovi. This amalgamation with a modern slant has put Skeleton Crew on the edge of the glam/sleaze crowd but in a niche of its own that also appeals to fans of harder rock. It is a sound apart from most in the genre. Skeleton Crew writes and performs predominantly original material but throws in the occasional classic cover.
